And soon after his demise, his wife Karisma Kapoor, and other party had a property dispute which is now been hearing in Delhi High Court.
It all happened on November 21, when the Delhi High Court witnessed a sharper escalation in the fight over late Sunjay Kapur’s alleged Will, as Priya Kapur’s legal team faced another round of scrutiny for errors, procedural lapses, and contradictions that still need clarification.

The dispute continues to run on every single day that passes. For a second day, the judges scrutinised the defence over multiple fundamental errors in the will, inaccurate addresses, selectively named beneficiaries, and the complete omission of an asset inventory.
Priya’s counsel restated earlier explanations but failed to offer new evidence or proof that Sunjay had ever seen or verified the document.
The bench further probed the questions left unanswered on November 19, discussing why the Will was revealed late, why signatures were pursued first, and why factual inconsistencies remained. Priya’s counsel could not provide acceptable answers to any of these issues.
Over two days, the court highlighted a kind of recurring pattern: the defence hasn’t resolved the errors within the document, cannot demonstrate Sunjay Kapur’s role in it, and continues to wrongly equate routine financial transactions with trust holdings.
