Thug Life box office collection day 4: The action drama Thug Life, starring Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR, and Trisha Krishnan, concluded its opening weekend with ₹35.64 crore net collection in India over four days, as reported by Sacnilk.

On its opening day Thursday, Thug Life collected ₹15.5 crore net across India. The film’s Friday collections dipped to ₹7.15 crore but recovered somewhat on Saturday with ₹7.75 crore. Sunday added ₹5.24 crore, making the total first weekend collection ₹35.64 crore.
Box office collections for Thug Life are modest but below what fans anticipated from the Mani Ratnam-Kamal Haasan reunion. With weekend figures holding steady but not increasing, it’s doubtful weekdays will boost revenues.
Kamal’s earlier hit Indian 2 by Shankar garnered ₹62.15 crore in four days and ₹59.15 crore during its opening weekend. Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan I and II also enjoyed commercial success, pulling in ₹120.15 crore and ₹103.75 crore respectively.

Kamal Haasan portrays Shaktivel (Shakti) in Thug Life, supported by Silambarasan as his adopted son Amar. The film also stars Abhirami, Ashok Selvan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Joju George, Ali Fazal, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf.
This is the first time Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam have worked together since their iconic 1987 movie Nayakan.
The box office collections may have been affected due to the ban in Karnataka amidst the language dispute, an important market for Tamil cinema along with Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
