Black Panther: Wakanda Forever recently had its world premiere in Hollywood. The film is to be released on November 11, 2022.
The film has got first reactions already from the critics who call it overwhelming and wholesome.
As per a report from the Variety, it looks like there was not a dry eye in the theatre at the time of film’s runtime of 160 minutes.
It looks quite evident that the anticipation of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is going sky high as the first entry of the film has already become one of the greatest release in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
It grossed almost $700 million at the domestic box office and $1.5 billion worldwide.
In addition to the above Black Panther also become the very first comic book movie that was nominated for the best picture at the Oscars.
‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ Early Reviews
As per a report published by Variety, the sequel stars Angela Bassett, Martin Freeman, Tenoch Huerta, Michaela Coel, Florence Kasumba, Dominique Thorne, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong’o, and Letitia Wright in their respective pivotal roles.
The film basically revolves around the demise of King T’Challa. The role is played by the late Chadwick Boseman in earlier Marvel entries. You might be aware that Boseman died in 2020 after a long battke with colon cancer.
This is what Wright told Variety about the film, “It is an incredible honour for Chadwick Boseman, it’s jam packed with exciting stuff,” he said.
“We honoured him by committing ourselves to the story that he started, the legacy that he started with this franchise. We just committed every day to working hard, no matter what circumstances we faced – and we faced a lot of circumstances, a lot of difficult situations – but we came together as a team, and we poured everything into this movie.” he added.
If you look at the review from ‘The Hollywood Reporter’, the publication halted the film to be the most powerful film till date.
It praised all the elements from the performances to the crafts. For example, a film critic named Orlando Maldonado stated that the film simply possessed a “maturity and seriousness rarely seen in the MCU.”

No spoilers. Wakanda Forever had so many emotions!!! It was creepy and BRU-TAL in parts. Heartbreaking and beautiful. And the fight scenes were WILD. I’m in awe of the care put into representing these cultures. #WakandaForever pic.twitter.com/HHSClXcxoY

#WakandaForever is another major achievement for Ryan Coogler. No spoilers but the film pays tribute to Chadwick Boseman in a classy and respectful way.

#WakandaForever's bigger in scope and scale than #BlackPanther, but its story is also one of Marvel's most intimate and heartfelt. It's definitely a Comic Book Movie, but it’s one that centers grief and the grieving process rather than superheroics and spectacle. Full review soon pic.twitter.com/MzIjwVzjBd

Black Panther: #WakandaForever is as epic as Marvel sequels get. The story is hugely ambitious & thematically rewarding with gut-wrenching twists and turns throughout. You feel the length but it’s fun, wildly beautiful and has the best credits scene in Marvel history, no contest. pic.twitter.com/zD8nYIFKXC

#WakandaForever is fantastic! Coogler delivers a soulful, wondrous sequel that packs an emotional punch & effectively explores relevant world themes. A beautiful tribute to Boseman’s legacy. Letitia & Tenoch are great, & the mid-credits scene is really moving. #BlackPanther pic.twitter.com/dqoSSfnTR9

Black Panther Wakanda Forever makes it clear how precious Chadwick Boseman and T’Challa were to the MCU. Without him, the film sometimes yearns for a heartbeat. It finds it at just the right moments, and it’s exhilarating. I can’t wait to see it again.

Black Panther: #WakandaForever is Marvel's most poignant and powerful film to date. It's heavy and dark in the way that it needed to be, and mostly abandons the studio's trademark tone. The craft work levels up in every conceivable way, and the performances rise to the occasion. pic.twitter.com/aAK7jjRMra

Another reason I’m so impressed with #BlackPantherWakandaForever is #RyanCoogler had the impossible task of trying to make a sequel without #ChadwickBoseman & make it feel respectful but also keep the franchise going and he hit a home run. Going to be HUGE hit for @MarvelStudios. pic.twitter.com/mMd9WFjung

WAKANDA FOREVER is a beautifully cathartic tribute to the legacy of Chadwick Boseman. Reminds us of his monumental impact & that he's truly still here with us. Great performances from Gurira, Bassett, Wright & Thorne. Huerta was INCREDIBLE. Loved Rihanna's song & Ludwig's score. pic.twitter.com/9eW6uFwP3S

Wakanda Forever will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. While Chadwick’s absence is felt, the cast’s performance is phenomenal. The journey and mourning each cast goes through is felt through the film. Tons of action! Namor is fantastic. #BlackPantherWakandaForever pic.twitter.com/C4X6CicZCG

#WakandaForever is a definitely a step down from the first film. It has great qualities in Letitia’s performance, NAMOR & the action but there’s a lot that just didn’t sit right with me that I can’t explain without getting into spoilers. I’ll explain more once the film comes out.
