Ever since the COVID-19 second wave has started devastating the country, the schedules of many films have again taken turns. One of the films that has been impacted due to the pandemic is Dhanush starrer Jagame Thandhiram.
Although, Dhanush fans wanted his film to hit big screen, but it doesn’t look possible as the makers have now decided to release it directly on the OTT platform. The film is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and stars Aishwarya Lekshmi and Dhanush in their pivotal roles.
If you look at the original schedule of the film, then you would be surprised to know that it was earlier planned to release on May 1, 2020. But the entire plan to release the film on its scheduled date had to be postponed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic situation.

This is what Karthik Subbaraj revealed about the film, “Jagame Thandhiram is my dream film that was made with the ambition of telling a gripping story about a globally prevalent issue through a locally rooted character in a most interesting and entertaining way. Audiences will yet again see Dhanush bring his immense talent and entertainment to the table.”
Jagame Thandhiram is basically a thriller where Dhanush is playing the role of a gangster.
The supporting roles are played by Kalaiyarasan and Joju George. Another highlight of the film is that James Cosmo (Hollywood star) is making his debut with this entertainer.
