Helmed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the eldest daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, this Tamil romantic psychological thriller originally premiered in 2012.
Over the years, 3 has gained immense popularity among Dhanush fans, with many considering it an underrated gem. Its first re-release in 2022 saw an overwhelming response in Telugu states.
Fast forward to now, the film has returned to theaters for the third time, and once again, the audience is going wild. In fact, before the first show even began, nearly half of the screenings were either filling up fast or completely sold out.
3 has been re-released across roughly 280 screenings, mainly in Telugu regions. Before the initial show even began today, around 113 of these were close to capacity, with 23 completely sold out.
The advance bookings alone surpassed 50,000 tickets for the first day (excluding reserved seats), leading to an estimated gross collection of Rs 85 lakh. The enthusiasm for the film highlights Dhanush’s significant appeal among the Telugu audience.
Hyderabad stands out as the leading city, with advance ticket sales surpassing 21,000. Vizag follows closely behind. Pre-sales occupancy for the film has also gone above 50%.
