A leaked image showing Hollywood star Tom Cruise on the sets of Doctor Strange has ignited controversy. There has been a debate saying Tom Cruise will be seen as next Tony Stark in the Doctor Strange sequel.
It all happened after a viral image of Tom Cruise on the sets of Doctor Strange that became the reason for fans to speculate that he can be seen as Tony Stark in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The film is slated to release on May 4, 2022.
Although, the leaked image happens to be of low resolution, fans believe it was actually Tom Cruise Tony Star variant in an alternate universe. The figure in the picture most likely resembles that of Cruise with a beard and moustache similar to Tony Stark.

The above image was earlier sent with a caption that said, “(Rumor) Possibly the first image of Tom Cruise on set #DoctorStrange2 in (Motion Capture) for his Iron Man.”
Tom Cruise As Next Tony Stark?
The above post was actually shared on January 18, 2022. And so far, it has received over 8 lakh likes and 150 retweets. After looking at the picture, there were many who liked it and hoped to see Tom Cruise as Tony Stark. But there were others who refuted the above claims.
For example, one twitter user wrote, “I think this may be legit because John Campea got given photos showing Matt Murdock and the 3 Spideys for NO WAY HOME, as well as two other pics, one he said “had somebody in a motion capture suit.”
Another person commented, “everyone once denying tobey and andrew would appear in the nwh. and guess what? we’re gonna have tom f*** cruise as tony stark bruh!”
In the same way, take a look at what the third person commented, “He was originally one of the few people slated to play iron man before RDJ so it makes total sense.” However, some also refuted the claims as one user commented, “No. There is no reason for him to be in the Marvel Universe.” Another comment read, “It doesn’t fit the costumes they wore on set.”

Doctor Strange originally featured Benedict Cumberbatch released after the end credits of Spiderman: No Way Home. Well, the film was the most anticipated ones till date and managed to collect a whopping $1 billion worldwide.
The fil featured all three Spiderman played by Andrew Garfield, Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland.
Now, the introduction of Andrew and Tobey’s Spiderman in MCU has once again opened the debate regarding the entry of new actors playing old characters like Tom Cruise as Tony Stark.
