Tom Cruise Halts ‘Mission Impossible 7’ Shooting to Promote ‘Top Gun Maverick’ In South Korea

Hollywood star Tom Cruise decided to halt the shooting of ‘Mission Impossible 7’ to promote his upcoming film ‘Top Gun Maverick’ in South Korea. As soon as he touched down there, he was greeted by huge South Korean fans.

Cruise was looked dapper by wearing his branded aviator sunglasses along with a T shirt and trouser.

As he was wearing a mask, he took it off to greet his fans who were gathered at the airport in large numbers. He passed a smile after seeing them and said thank you for their presence.

This is what he said to the crowd, “Thank you all for coming,” the Hollywood star was heard of saying this to fans who assembled behind barricades to have a glimpse of him.

 

This is what he aid, “I am so happy to be here,” he said and added, “I was shooting for ‘Mission Impossible 7’, but we shut down the shoot so that I can be here with you all.” Cruise stated.

Tom Cruise looked dashing and while keeping up with the K-pop trend, he flashed the finger heart to fans that precisely managed to win their hearts.

The actor further held his finger up in a heart. He was all smiles and even posed for selfies as well.

Tom Cruise Stops At South Korea to Promote ‘Top Gun Maverick’

The reason why he arrived in the city is quite clear. He was there to promote his film ‘Top Gun: Maverick’. He’s all set to appear in the film along with Hollywood producer Jerry Bruckheimer. As pr reports, Bruckheimer has teamed up with him to produce the film along with him.

It will co-star Greg Tarzan DavisJay Ellis as per the detail provided by a number of South Korean news portals. The film is slated to release on June 22, 2022.

 

Well, this is the 10th visit of Tom Cruise to South Korea after he first visited the country in the year 1994 to promote his film ‘Interview with the Vampire’.

‘Top Gun: Maverick’ is directed by Tony Scott and stars Val Kilmer, Kelly McGillis, and Tom Cruise in their respective pivotal roles. It’s the sequel to the 1986 classic ‘Top Gun’.

As of now, ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ has been at the US box office for the last two weeks and is reported to have collected a whopping $400 million. The collection look overwhelming as it has become the highest grossing film of 2022 in the US.

The Tom Cruise starrer managed to grab $401.8 million from ticket sales in the North American region only. The figures say that the film has managed to surpass another blockbuster ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ that earlier stood at number one spot by collecting $398 million at the box office.

The box office report says that Tom Cruise’ ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ has become the second film during the pandemic to have crossed $400 million stateside. The first being the ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.

But the forthcoming days might leave the film fight with some other films including ‘Minions: The Rise of Gru’ (July 1, 2022) and ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ (July 8, 2022).
