Tina Fey, known for her work in comedy, shared that she feels a strong urge to step back and retreat from the spotlight to allow emerging comedic talent to shine
While interacting to to The Hollywood Reporter, this is what she stated, “I feel a powerful urge to step back and retreat, as I believe it’s important to make room for fresh voices to be heard.”
She further revealed, “I’ve been working on it already, but I feel the need to push it further,” she admitted. “Even on my way here, I found myself thinking, ‘I’m honestly over hearing myself talk — others must be too. It’s just the same voices repeating every time.”
According to femalefirst.co.uk, the 54-year-old, who shares daughters Alice and Penelope with producer Jeff Richmond, shared that her upcoming Netflix series The Four Seasons came at the right time and “saved” her as she navigated a busy phase in her personal life.
This is what she further disclosed, “This whole ‘sandwich generation’ thing, having both kids and an aging parent under one roof, it’s beautiful, but it also demands so much energy.”

Fey, who alongside her friend Amy Poehler hosted the Golden Globe Awards four times and presented the Oscars once, has no desire to take on another awards show hosting gig.
Although Lorne Michaels had earlier mentioned that Fey “could easily” step in as showrunner if he ever left SNL, she made it clear that he is “irreplaceable.”
Reflecting on his comments, Fey finally clarified, “It was kind of him to say that, and I care for him deeply.”
