The year 2022 is not going great for Tiger Shroff. It started with one of his films Heropanti 2 which only proved a disaster at he box office.
The actor has two more upcoming releases titled Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Ganapath.
It all happened last month when Karan Johar of Dharma Productions announced to producing Screw Dheela with Tiger. In order to initiate things, a grand announcement video was also launched that showed a scared Tiger Shroff being interrogated by goons.
As per reports, Rashmika Mandanna might play the lead role in the film. There are some reports that suggest Janhvi Kapoor or Shanaya Kapoor might also play the female lead role.
Tiger Shroff Starrer Screw Dheela Put On the Backburner
As per a report published in Bollywood Hungama, “Karan Johar and director Shashank Khaitan have decided to put the film on the backburner. There were multiple reasons for it. Firstly, the film is a big-scale action entertainer, and the budget was coming up to Rs. 150 crores. Meanwhile, the teaser didn’t really get the encouraging response that the makers were hoping for. Tiger’s Heropanti 2 was a disaster and it put a question mark on his pull at the ticket window. Lastly, the box office scenario is horrible right now, especially how Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan put up terrible numbers.”
The source further stated that makers have dropped the idea to take the film on floors right now.
There are several factors attached to it including huge budget and low response of teaser from the audience.
