Sushmita Sen Confesses that She Was Unaware of Shah Rukh Khan Signing the Film “Main Hoon Na”
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sushmita Sen disclosed that she didn’t know Shah Rukh Khan was part of “Main Hoon Na” until she became a part of the film.
She reminisced about shooting the song ‘Dilbar Dilbar’ for “Sirf Tum,” choreographed by Farah Khan, where she had expressed her willingness to work with Farah in the future.
Years later, when Farah approached Sushmita for “Main Hoon Na,” the actress readily agreed, saying, “Tell me where to sign.”
“I never inquired about who the hero was, nor did I ask any details about the movie. She honored her word, and I did the same, showing up without any expectations,” Sushmita remarked, oblivious to the rest of the cast. “I walked in with a nonchalant attitude, only to be surprised with a loud gasp. I exclaimed, ‘Farah, why is Shah Rukh Khan here?’ She replied, ‘He’s also wondering why you’re here because nobody was informed.’ It was a delightful surprise. I jokingly told her that when she asked for my commitment, she should have mentioned Shah Rukh’s involvement. It was a wonderful twist of fate. Farah crafted this film with immense love.”
“Main Hoon Na” features an ensemble cast including Zayed Khan, Kirron Kher, Boman Irani, Bindu, and Suniel Shetty, among others.
In her recent work, Sushmita Sen was last seen in season 3 of the crime drama series “Aarya.”
