A number of Bollywood films have already been released in the recent past that justifies the emerging trend of making war based scripts. The above fact can be well scrutinized by referring to Akshay Kumar’s Airlift that was released last year only. Airlift is based on an Indian businessman who decides to rescue as many as 180,000 Indian citizens who are stranded in Kuwait region, especially after Iraq invaded their country in the year 1990 (August).
In the same pattern, we witnessed another film titled Rangoon. And more recently, Salman Khan’s Tubelight also seems to have based on Indo- Sino war. Now, let’s explain you the SRK home production Red Chillies Entertainment new venture based on Operation Khukri.
Well, Operation Khukri was first accomplished during the year 2000 in the deep tropical forest located in the region known as Sierra Leone (west african country). The operation was a secret mission in the rescue operation of as many as 225 Indian peacekeepers who was appointed by the United Nations (UN) to keep a track of the location of Indian citizens.
The entire operation was credited to Lt Col. Harinder Sood. During the process, close to 150 IAF officials were called to fly from the Indian subcontinent to Africa. The results that came out were highly satisfying. As per the final inputs, all the Indian peacemakers were rescued.
