In Short:
- Well-known FromSoftware modder Yui has introduced a mod that brings seamless co-op to Dark Souls 3
- This mod lets you and a friend play through the entire game seamlessly without the need for constant summoning
While every FromSoftware game has its own strengths, some elements can be a bit frustrating. Co-op, for example, has been somewhat unreliable in games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne, as the studio designed a summoning system that blends into the game’s lore.
While it enhances world-building, it can be incredibly frustrating when trying to play through the game with a friend.
It was quite fortunate when modders took what FromSoftware left out. After developing seamless co-op mods for Elden Ring and Armored Core 6, modder Yui has now introduced the feature to Dark Souls 3.
New Mod Brings Seamless Co-Op to Dark Souls 3

True to its name, the Seamless Co-Op mod for Dark Souls 3 enables players to team up and play through the entire game together which happened altogether in a single event.
In this mod, players no longer get sent back to their own world when they die. Instead, they respawn at the last bonfire and remain together after defeating a boss
Boss arena fog walls have been removed, NPC dialogue is synced for all players, and progression carries over for everyone.
The mod also supports up to six players, allowing you to explore Lothric as a group. However, the game may not be balanced for this, so expect a much easier experience.
If this sounds like a fun way to play with friends, you can find the Dark Souls 3 seamless co-op mod on Nexus Mods, along with a preview on the YouTube channel of Yui.
Please note that it’s still in development, so you may encounter some bugs along the way.
