It surprised everyone including the makers by looking at the kind of advance booking sales of tickets for Satyaprem Ki Katha. The film closed by selling 58,000 tickets at the national chains.

Cinepolis: 11,000 tickets
PVR: 29,000 tickets
Inox: 17,000 tickets

The reason why Satyaprem Ki Katha Advance Booking surprised everyone is because of the fact that everyone expected a sale of 40,000 tickets within 3 days. But after the film managed to sell 58,000 tickets, it surprised everyone.
Looking at the fact, the advance booking for Satyaprem Ki Katha in as many as 3 chains is quite better as compared to Eid 2023 release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
The film also fared better than Aamir Khan’s Independence Day release, Laal Singh Chaddha. along with Hrithik Roshan’s Gandhi Jayanti release Vikram Vedha.
In addition to the above, Satyaprem Ki Katha advance booking of tickets also surprised Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar’s recently released films like Runway 34, Bachcchan Paandey, Selfiee, Prithviraj, Thank God, Bholaa, and Ram Setu with a hefty margin.
The above films are known to have the advance booking in the range of 30,000 to 50,000 across the three chains.
