Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday in connection with a money laundering case registered in 2017.
The actress reached to the zonal office of ED in Hyderabad. The case is actually connected to the busting of a drug racket four years ago in 2017.
The actress was last featured in a Tamil language film ‘NGK’ starring Suriya in the lead role.
She was summoned by ED officials as a witness and is likely to be grilled for hours. It’s reported that ED has so far summoned at least 10 Tollywood actors in connection with the drug case.
Apart from Rakul Preet, noted film maker Puri Jagannadh also reached ED office earlier today in Hyderabad along with his partner tuned film producer Charmme Kaur.
As per a report published in Times of India, a case was registered after a musician was arrested in 2017. After his arrest, an entire drug racket was busted and huge amount of drugs were seized from his possession.
On the professional front, Rakul Preet Singh will next feature in Sivakarthikeyan-starrer ‘Ayalaan which is to be directed by Ravikumar.
Rakul Preet Singh will also be featured in Kamal Haasan’s ‘Indian 2’ which is being directed by Shankar. The film’s shooting is expected to commence very soon.
