It was in the month of January 2022 when Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas welcomed their first child born 12 weeks early.
It was a baby girl. The couple looked keen to growing their family, especially when they finally moved to Encino, California mansion after purchasing it in 2019.

It came to the limelight when the couple chose to announce the name of their child on social media.
This is what both Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas wrote jointly together on their respective Instagram accounts, “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family,” it read.
As per a report published by TMZ, the birth certificate of the child revealed her name which is Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
The birth certificate further reveals that girl child was born on January 15 after 8 PM at a San Diego hospital. Although, it’s quite unclear why the couple chose the name “Maiti”, it simply means moonlight or small fragrant flower.
