On the occasion of Diwali, the makers released two new releases. One was Akshay Kumar starrer Ram Setu and the other one was Ajay Devgn, Sidharth Malhotra starrer Thank God.
Both these films were also released simultaneously in the overseas market as well by making sure that they won’t grab each other’s business.
Although, Ram Setu and Thank God are doing pretty well, they seem to have performed below expectation as compared to a Pakistani film The Legend of Maula Jatt which released on October 13, 2022.
Looking at the numbers, it clearly suggests that The Legend of Maula Jatt has managed to surpass the collection of Ram Setu and Thank God in the North America and U.K box office.

At the U.K box office, the Pakistani film The Legend of Maula Jatt performed way ahead than the recent released Bollywood films. It managed to draw $46,825 from 56 screens.
Now, if you compare it with Bollywood new releases, they barely managed to collect the same amount taken together.
Thank God managed to collect $19,472. On the other hand Ram Setu collected $16,595 on their opening day.
The North America box office followed the same trend with The Legend of Maula Jatt looked like eclipsing the overall collections of the two recent releases.
Here the Pakistani film managed to collect $56,586 as compared to Ram Setu $48,330 and Thank God $40,358.
The fate of Ran Setu and Thank God took place even when they were released at higher screens as compared to Pakistani film.
To be precise, Ram Setu and Thank God failed to surpass the collection of The Legend of Maula Jatt.

Thank God – Day 1 – 40,358 USD [Rs. 33.13 lakhs] from 228 screens

Maula Jatt – Day 13 – 46,825 USD [Rs. 38.40 lacs] from 56 screens
Thank God – Day 1 – 19,472 USD [Rs. 15.97 lacs] from 83 screens
Ram Setu – Day 1 – 16,595 USD [Rs. 13.61 lacs] from 95 screens
