Padmavati Movie Shooting to Resume Soon After Stalled By Karni Sena

It was all going fine on the sets of Padmavati at Jaigarh Fort, Jaipur, until a brigade of youth broke inside and attacked the entire star cast of Padmavati. They not only disrupted the Padmavati movie shooting, but also attacked Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Later, when the filmmaker intervened, they disclosed their anger and dissatisfaction towards the Padmavati movie shooting for allegedly presenting unconfirmed and distorted facts in the film. These youths belonged to Rajput Karni Sena and had already warned the filmmaker in the past not to include unconfirmed scenes in the film. Now, after two weeks, Shahid Kapoor says that the shooting of the film will resume shortly.

The members of the Karni Sena not only wanted to disrupt the Padmavati movie shooting, but also wanted to convey their message that if they continue to shoot, they will again attack the crew members of the film. They forcefully entered and slapped and beaten the filmmaker. They also roughed him up in many other ways. In view of the attack, the filmmaker decided not to continue with the ongoing in Jaipur.

The Karni Sena members not only attacked the sets, but also held a demonstration. ‘Padmavati‘ is currently being directed by well known filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali who has given a plethora of hit films in the past. The other members of the film include Deepika Padukone (Padmavati), Shahid Kapoor (Ratan Singh), Ranveer Singh (Alauddin Khilji).

The president of Karni Sena– Narayan Singh disclosed “we had already warned them not to present unconfirmed and wrong facts. But after we came to know about the shooting, we had no choice but to protest in our own ways”. This was confirmed by another activist by the name Vikram Singh. He said “Our protest is mainly about the way they’re distorting the historic facts and will not be tolerated”.

Meanwhile, a number of Bollywood personalities including Aamir Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Hrithik Roshan and Alia Bhatt came forward in support of the filmmaker to present their anger and disgust.

Deepika Padukone was the first to react and registered her anger and called the entire episode as the most unfortunate one. ‘Ranveer Singh’ also came forward and assured the people of Rajasthan about the sensitivity of the matter. He requested to maintain the level of trust and further assured that they will stop Padmavati movie shooting and pack up.
