There is no doubt that Rhea Chakraborty has been on the receiving end after the unfortunate demise of her alleged boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR).

On Thursday, July 16, 2020, she made an Instagram post. And right after that, she received thousands of messages in her inbox. Out of those, many were that of criticizing nature.

It was on Saturday when Rhea decided to lodge a written complaint by visiting the Santa Cruz police station. A case has now been registered under the sections 67, 507 and 509.

Both users are booked under the sections that basically relate to the criminal intimidation by severely insulting the modesty of a woman, makes any specific sound, utters any specific words or publishing any obscene content in electronic form.
Abhishek Trimukhe, who is the DC of police says, “On the complaint of Rhea Chakravarty, an offence is registered at Santa Cruz police station against two Instagram account holders for sending obscene messages and threatening her.” Also Read: Dil Bechara: Friend Mukesh Chhabra Remembers Sushant Singh Rajput’s Beautiful Smile
The report further stated, “We have written a letter to Instagram and sought details of the Instagram user who sent her the obscene messages and threat.”
It all started on Thursday when Rhea chose to post the screenshot of the Instagram user who posted such messages challenging her integrity and modesty. She also stated that she was earlier called as a gold digger and a murderer as well. In one of her another post, she requested Home Minister Amit Shah and requested him to start a CBI probe into the case.
On the other hand, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh rejected her request stating that Mumbai Police is enough to handle the case. Also Read: 5 Big Things Happened in Bollywood During The Coronavirus Lockdown
Please note that Sushant died on June 14 under mysterious circumstances where Mumbai police is already investigating the case and has interrogated to more than 30 people so far.
