Ever since Laxmi Bomb trailer launched by Akshay Kumar, it made a record number of dislikes on YouTube. Earlier, Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2 trailer set a record of becoming the most disliked trailer ever in the history of Bollywood.

Laxmii not only opened to the most disliked trailer but also received some pathetic reviews by critics as well. Now, it will be interesting to see how the film performs at the box office.
As per the latest Bollywood news, Laxmii released directly on Hotstar before the makers could sold it at a whopping price of Rs 150 crore. The above amount includes Akshay Kumar’s profit along with giving an overall profit share of Rs 40 crore to the producers.
You should also note that all the above companies like Hotstar , Fox Star Studios and Disney Plus are related companies. And so, all this looked more like tabled profits.
Since Laxmii is released directly on OTT platform, it won’t be having as much issues. However, if the film would have released in theatres, then it would have seriously impacted its overall profit margin at the box office, especially after considering the poor trailer and the negativity by critics.

As per the latest reports, Hotstar never revealed the actual viewership figures of Laxmii trailer right after it was launched by Akshay Kumar on YouTube.
But if you look at the data, Hotstar has almost 10 million paid subscribers in the country and 300 million total subscribers across the globe.
If the film gets 20% viewership of the audience on Hotstar, then it clearly means that around 2 million viewers would have watched the movie on Hotstar Plus Disney.
On the other hand, Hotstar hopes to eget at least 40% subscribers to watch the film. Most recently, Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Dil Bechara had managed to attain the biggest success in terms of the actual viewership. But then the film was made free to watch.
Since the film was directly released on Disney+Hotstar, there is no question of any screens for the film.
