Mis(s)Chief, a comedy, revolves around Rumi, a mother of two who is trying to carve out a career as a filmmaker.
She faces the challenges of a strained marriage, her children’s never-ending homework, and unexpected complications with a gangster she inadvertently upset.
Peter Weber, a British filmmaker, will serve as the project’s Executive Producer, while Emmy-nominated casting director Nancy Bishop will manage the casting. Konkona, commenting on the film, expressed her excitement about its humorous premise, the depiction of women, and the writing.
Director Anu Vaidyanathan, in a statement to Variety, noted, “Konkona’s real-life experiences resonate with our protagonist, Rumi, who is balancing motherhood and filmmaking.
With her experience on both sides of the camera as an actor and director, I’m excited to have Konkona and Carlos bring these characters and the story to life.”
The latest appearance of the actress happened to be in the crime comedy thriller Killer Soup, where she starred alongside Manoj Bajpayee. The series, directed by Abhishek Chaubey, debuted on Netflix.
