After holding steady on Monday, Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2 is expected to see a boost at the box office thanks to discounted ticket rates. Check out the Day 4 collection update.

 

Kesari Chapter 2 starring Ananya Panday, R Madhavan, and Akshay Kumar, held strong on Monday, proving its staying power.

Karan Singh Tyagi’s film managed to outperform several Bollywood releases from 2025, including Deva, The Diplomat, and Jaat, over its opening weekend.

The real test was ensuring minimal drop on Monday. On Day 4, the movie earned ₹4.50 crores, experiencing a 42% decline compared to its opening day, which had benefitted from the Good Friday which was a holiday.

The film’s 4-day haul at the Indian box office has reached ₹34.12 crores. Below is the breakdown of earnings for each day

Day 1: 7.84 crores

Day 2: 10.04 crores

Day 3: 11.70 crores

Day 4: 4.50 crores

Total: 34.12 crores

To beat the mid-week slump, the makers have rolled out a smart strategy by offering tickets at ₹99 today.

The promotion is already working its magic, with Kesari Chapter 2 selling 13.6K tickets so far. As the day progresses, ticket sales are expected to rise, contributing to a successful box office day.

 

Akshay Kumar’s Success at the Box Office Post-Covid

In a span of just 3 days, Kesari Chapter 2 managed to outrank the lifetime earnings of Selfiee, Sarfira, and Bell Bottom.

It has now surpassed Mission Raniganj, claiming the top spot in being Akshay Kumar’s 10th highest post-Covid grosser.

Kesari Chapter 2 is likely to surpass the lifetime collections of Khel Khel Khel Mein and Raksha Bandhan before the second weekend. However, to make it into the top 5, it will need to earn more than ₹66 crore.
