Jigra Box Office: With no fresh releases this Friday, Jigra has managed to secure a substantial number of screens and showings, particularly in major city multiplexes.
Typically, films of this genre attract audiences on Saturdays, and although attendance was below 50% last weekend due to the Dussehra holiday, the situation has improved this weekend.
The film has seen an increase of over 50%, which is noteworthy considering its starting point was quite low. Therefore, while the total numbers remain modest, the growth trend is a positive sign.
Jigra Box Office: Alia Bhatt’s Movie Shows Saturday Growth, Projected to Surpass Rs. 30 Crores in Lifetime Earnings
It all happened on Friday, when the film managed to collect Rs 1 crore*, and the collections further jumped to Rs 1.75 crore* on Saturday.
If this had been a low-budget, starless production, such growth would generally be viewed positively, especially with two open weeks ahead.
With Alia Bhatt leading the cast and a solid production behind it, much higher expectations were set, with a minimum target of up to 60 crores deemed reasonable.
Sadly, it appears the film will not achieve those figures, with lifetime earnings expected to just exceed Rs 30 crores.
Currently, it stands at Rs 25 crores, and by the end of the second week, it should be nearing the Rs 30 crores mark.
It will then have one additional week to maximize its earnings, potentially reaching around Rs 35 crores before making way for the major Diwali releases
