Both Raees and Kaabil are big budget movies to be released in the third week of January, 2017.
Ever since the superstar Hrithik Roshan started working for his new venture ‘Kaabil’, it started creating ripples in audience minds and hearts.
In the same ways, Shah Rukh Khan is also busy on his mega budget film ‘Raees’ that has been in the news in the recent past. Both the films are going to release almost at the same time and are ready for a clash.
Kaabil is a Rakesh Roshan film starring none other than Yami Gautam opposite Hrithik Roshan.
Whereas, Raees starring Shah Rukh is an upcoming action thriller. It’s produced under the banner of Excel and Red Chillies entertainment.
In the meanwhile, Rakesh Roshan came forward to make things clear.
He decided to settle down the issue by expressing his belief that it’s not going to affect his film in any way.
He said that he would ensure the movie gets a fair opportunity in proving its worth at the box office.
As SRK’s film is going to release on January 26, both Roshan senior and junior has decided to screen the film a day prior (January 25, 2017) to the release of ‘Raees’as there is nothing much one can do except altering the date of release.
The decision was taken to give Kaabil a fair chance to prove its worth at the box office
The step was first formulated by distributors who suggested to alter the date of the film.
It was also the move taken to readily encash the opportunity by releasing the film on January 25 so as to encash it on Republic day.
Rakesh Roshan, while supporting his decision mentioned that it’s not the first time this kind of decision is being taken.
In fact, such a decision has been taken in the past as well where a movie is released mid week after a national holiday following it.
He said both he and his director ‘Sanjay Gupta’ are in favor of such an agreement to alter the date of ‘Kaabil’.
Our decision is also backed by our distributors that helped us arriving at the final decision.
Now, after the decision gets implemented, the movie will be enjoying a weekend for 5 days.
This might also help to justify the decision taken to alter the release date of Kaabil.
In the contrary, Hrithik Roshan’s last movie, Mohen Jodaro also didn’t do well at the box office and was panned down by the critics.
So, in that sense, both Hrithik and Rakesh Roshan are having hopes on Kaabil to revive the former’s career.
