Hollywood actor Sean Penn was recently in Ukraine’s capital Kyiv regarding his upcoming documentary related to Russian’s invasion on Ukraine. In the latest update that we have, the actor was found to be among hundreds of refugees who are fleeing to Poland on foot.
It was all revealed by Sean Penn after he posted his current status on Twitter that clearly shows him wearing a backpack with a luggage on wheels. He can be seen moving across the line of cars stretching into the distance.
This is what Sean Penn captioned while posting his most recent update, “Myself and two colleagues walked miles to the Polish border after abandoning our car on the side of the road,” Penn said in a caption tweeted with the picture. “Almost all the cars in this photo carry women & children only, most without any sign of luggage, and a car their only possession of value.”

Although, the actor revealed that he’s moving away with other refugees, he didn’t disclose why he along with his companions were forced to abandon their vehicle.

After the news broke, a Los Angeles (LA) spokesperson named Mara Buxbaum told Reuters via email that Penn had actually made it out of Ukraine safely. But the lady simply declined to disclose the answers of some other questions like the probable reasons or circumstances that actually led the actor depart from Ukraine.
Sean Penn has been living in Ukraine since Thursday and was spotted attending a press briefing right at the office of Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
This is what the statement said, “Sean Penn is among those who support Ukraine in Ukraine today. Our country is grateful to him for such a show of courage and honesty,” it said.
It further added that Sean Penn had interviewed various Ukrainian military and political figures as part of his own production. nd this is the sole reason why he visited Ukraine last November as well.
As per the statement released by the actor last week, he acclaimed Oscar-winning roles in films like “Milk” and “Mystic River”. He praised the citizens of Ukraine for their courage. He even called the country as “the tip of the spear for the democratic embrace of dreams.”
“If we allow it to fight alone, our soul as America is lost,” Sean Penn wrote.
Some of the directional credits of Penn include “The Crossing Guard” and “Into the Wild”. He’s one actor known for his active role in humanitarian work including relief efforts of victims stranded. He was actually there to help people on various occasions like at the time of Pakistan floods in 2012 and the Haiti earthquake of 2010.
Currently, Penn is busy producing the Ukraine documentary for Vice Studios, according to Hollywood trade publication Variety.
