Denis Villeneuve is a popular filmmaker from Canada who’s a four time recipient of Canadian screen award in the category of Best Direction.
Denis was chosen as a winner for a Canadian psychological drama titled Maelström (2001). Some of his popular films include Enemy (2013), Incendies (2010) and Polytechnique (2009).
The first three movies given in the list above managed to win the most prestigious Canadian Screen Award for Best Motion Picture.
Today, Denis Villeneuve has become an international fame for directing a plethora of critically acclaimed movies including Sicario (2015) and thrillers Prisoners (2013).
His latest movie Dune (2021) is now a commercial success at the international box office and has also become the highest grossing film till date.
Denis Villeneuve Set to Direct Adaptation of Sci-Fi Novel ‘Rendezvous With Rama’
After the recent success of Dune (2021), Canadian director Denis Villeneuve looks all set to helm an adaptation of a sci-fi novel ‘Rendezvous With Rama’ by author Arthur C. Clarke.
According to film’s plot given in the novel, it showcases a group of human space explorers to intercept an alien starship which is seen hurtling through the solar system.
It’s being said that the above mission is expected to become the first contact of mankind with the intelligence of aliens.
The report further states that Villeneuve is keen to direct ‘Rendezvous With Rama’ for Alcon Entertainment.
It will be produced in the association of Lori McCreary and Morgan Freeman under their banner titled Revelations Entertainment
