Bruna Marquezine Joins the Star Cast of DC’s ‘Blue Beetle’

Bruna Marquezine is one of the top Brazilian actresses who’s known to have signed the star cast of ‘Blue Beetle’ which is going to be a superhero film where she is expected to play the female lead role ‘Penny’.

As per the latest Hollywood news, the upcoming film happens to be the first DC Films production which is going to star a Latino character in the film.’

The upcoming film is also expected to star others like Xolo Maridueña, Harvey Guillén, and Belissa Escobedo. Out of them Xolo Maridueña will act in the lead role of Jaime Reyes.

It’s better known as the alter ego of the Blue Beetle, a vigilante who’s all se to emit blue energy because of the scarab grafted onto his spine. It also gives him huge powers as well.

As per a news published in ‘Variety’, Escobedo is expected to play the role of Jamie’s younger sister named Milagros. But the role of Guillen is not disclosed as yet.

The script of the upcoming film has been written by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer which will be directed by Angel Manuel Soto. He’s recognized from his exceptional work in his last project titled ‘Charm City Kings’.

Bruna Marquezine who looks all set will make a mark in the film as her fans are waiting her to see on the big screen after pandemic.

‘Blue Beetle’ is expected to hit screens August 18, 2023. If you look at the present scenario, you will find that DC is currently on a roll after the huge success of Robert Pattinson’s ‘The Batman’.

As per the latest Box Office report, ‘The Batman’ has minted up to $134 million in the US market last weekend.

Some of the upcoming films of DC include ‘The Flash’ which will be a merry jaunt through the metaverse along with a sequel to ‘Aquaman’.
