Ayan Mukerji, who’s a renowned filmmaker chose to share a new BTS video where he updates the audience about the emerging story of his upcoming film Brahmāstra.
The film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in their respective lead roles. In the vide, he also introduced various ‘astras’ that are going to be featured in the film.
It all happened when Ayan took to his Instagram handle to share a video along with a caption that reads, “While Brahmāstra is basically a fictional work, my only attempt has been to celebrate the spirituality of the country in my own way with the help of this film.”
He further added, On the auspicious day of Guru Purnima, I simply want to share some insights of the concept of my film Brahmāstra. It’s a movie through which I personally have a bonding as a forever student of the infinite wisdom that always existed in the roots of our ancient India. And I hope you will enjoy our imagination! #astraverse.
In the video shared by Ayan, he mainly talks about the premise of Brahmāstra that actually begins in an primitive world. The audience will see the film to start with an image from the mystical world. Here comes a group of sages, called ‘Brahmansh’ can be seen in the deep meditation in the Himalayas.
After all the above, it was shown that they are blessed with ‘The Light of the Universe.”
Not only that, he also tries to dissect a number of astras that are going to be the key element of his upcoming film.
Ayan simply shared the fact that ‘astras’ are nothing but weapons based on the four elements of matter called water, wind, earth and fire.
These four elements have the ability to harness the power of animals on earth like that of a monkey and monkey. But the greatest among them is nothing but Brahmāstra due to the fact that it carries the essence of all other ‘astras’ or weapons.
The filmmaker later explains in his own way. He says the existence of sages on the earth was to protect all these astras along with the guardians of the Brahmāstra. And probably, this s the reason why they vow on Himalayas.
These ages name themselves to be called as Brahmansh which is called as a secret society and exist among other men. It has all the power of these astras.
After explaining this about this in the film, Ayan further introduces ‘Shiva’ who will portray as the protagonist in the film. The character will be played by Ranbir. And this is hat he says, In the world of astras, he’s a miracle because he happens to be an astra himself”.
Ayan says ‘Shiva’ is also called God as he’s there to keep the spirit of our tributes alive. He says ‘Shiva’ is named after God who is dearest to him. He’s known to be the most powerful, mystical and his greatest inspiration.
When the filmmaker released the trailer of Brahmāstra, it got all the attention from the audience, mainly because of the spectacular visuals along with high octane stunts. And this is why fans praised him for creating something unique that majority of the audience might have never experienced on big screen.
Brahmāstra is a trilogy and happens to be 3-part film franchise and will have a pan-India release. The film is made in 5 different languages Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.
The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in their respective pivotal roles.
Brahmāstra has been in the limelight ever since the project was first launched by the filmmaker. The film got almost 4 years to start the production. The film will finally release on September 9, 2022 in both 2D and 3D.
