It’s not so easy for Aryan Khan to go out of the jail even if he has been granted bail from the Bombay High Court. Although, there is no hurdles but some formalities to be completed. The first and the foremost thing being submitting the bail order to the special anti-narcotics court.
There is some sort of technicality that needs to be taken care of before Aryan Khan could move out of the jail. As per jail rules, when the court releases a bail order (in drugs case), it needs to be received by the special anti-narcotics court from the Bombay High Court.
Also, the bail order needs to reach the prison’s ‘bail box’ by 5:30 PM. Now, if the above formalities are completed by 5:30 PM today, he will be freed by today itself, otherwise, he will again have to spend another night in the Arthur Road jail where he is currently kept.
The 23 year old son of Shah Rukh Khan has already spent over 25 days in the judicial custody. He was arrested from a cruise ship on October 3 where a rave party was organized. It was when NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) busted the rave party, 20 people including Aryan Khan was arrested.
The entire operation was headed by the NCB zonal head Sameer Wankhede who alleged that Aryan Khan has links with the international drug racket
As the bail order has been pronounced, there are certain formalities that need to be done. And the first thing will be to submit a copy of the bail order from the Bombay HC to the special anti-narcotics court by 5:30 PM.
After this much is done, the special court will release an order which will also have any bail amount to be paid by Aryan Khan. This is the release order that needs to be finally taken to the ‘bail box’ situated outside the Arthur Road jail. The box is kept open thrice a day, morning, afternoon and evening.
It was justice NW Sambre of the Bombay High Court who pronounced the bai order on Thursday and granted him the bail along with two other accused in the drug case. The detailed order will be provided by the HC today.
After the bail, this is what the advocate Maneshinde said, “We are prepared with our sureties. We are hoping to get the order copy from the high court today. Once we get it, we will submit it along with all the necessary documents to the special NDPS court,” Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde told news agency PTI. “We hope to do it by this evening itself so that we can get Aryan Khan out of jail,” he said.
After hearing his bail order, Arbaaz Merchant’s father stated that his son couldn’t slept in jail because of the excitement on getting bail. This is what he said, “This is my third visit here (Arthur Road Jail). I talked to him for about 20 minutes and told him he will be out today or tomorrow. He told me to get him out today only and that he hadn’t slept and eaten in excitement,” Arbaa’z father Aslam Merchant said.
