Although, Rajnikanth starrer action drama Annaatthe is scheduled to release on November 3, 2021, the shooting for the film was begun only in December 2019.But the shooting for the film could not go beyond 3 months due to pandemic.
The team decided to halt the shooting that resumed on November 2020. But due to several team members started getting Covid-19 positive, the shooting had again to be postponed.
Well, this was a peculiar situation for everybody and the crew decided to resume the shoot once everything was fine.
When all team members started testing positive for the coronavirus, Rajnikanth too had to be hospitalized due to his fluctuating blood pressure. This also took some time and the shooting had to suffer again.
The current situation is that Annaatthe crew is busy shooting in Kolkata after completing their portions in Hyderabad and Chennai. It’s reported that Nayanthara will join the crew along with another actress Keerthy Suresh.

Annaatthe is an action drama directed by Siva. It stars Rajinikanth, Meena, Khushbu, Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Jagapathi Babu and Prakash Raj in their pivotal roles.
Today, Sun Pictures released a still directly from the sets of the film where it shows both Rajnikanth and Siva. It’s going viral on social media. The music in the film is composed by D Imman.
