Despite the overwhelming presence of the Gadar sequel, OMG 2 successfully connected with its audience, primarily owing to its exceptional content. Consequently, despite carrying an ‘A’ rating, the movie raked in 150 crores at the Indian box office.

OMG 2 was crafted with a limited budget, and Akshay Kumar’s participation in the project was tied to profit-sharing terms.
Produced at 65 crores, the sequel garnered a return on investment (ROI) of 85 crores, resulting in a profit percentage of 130.76%. However, this achievement has now been surpassed by Animal.
With a budget of 200 crores, Animal has amassed 471.50 crores at the Indian box office. Excluding the budget from the collection, the film attains an ROI of 271.50 crores, resulting in a profit percentage of 135.75%. The film’s next aim is to surpass Vikrant Massey’s 12th Fail, which achieved returns of 159.65%.
