The film happens to be a remastered version of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha that was released on June 15, 2001.

Even before its release, Gadar 2 has received positive response from all sides. In one of the exclusive interviews with Bollywood Hungama, Ameesha Patel stated that today’s audience wants clean cinema.

The actress further stated that these days various OTT platforms and the lack of good films have given rise to such an odd cinema which is not being liked by the masses.

The actress further explained that today’s audience has changed. She stated that they simply want a clean cinema.

The actress further stated that Bollywood has always believed to be a source of fashion and music along with a make believe world. And that sort of simplicity is missing.

Ameesha Patel also said that OTT platforms are constantly showing content which is vulgar and sexually explicit. The scenes mostly deviate from the family oriented nature of traditional Bollywood.

She further added that films like Gadar 2 aim to bring back that essence by connecting with the previous instalment and preserving its family values, heart-wrenching moments, action, dialogues, and music. The hope is to recapture the love and support of the audience as they did with the original film.

As we mentioned above, Gadar 2 is all set to release on August 11, 2023. As of now, it is believed that Gadar 2 is likely to clash with OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar. It’s also likely to clash with Anil Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal.
