As per an update, Pushpa’s streaming rights were sold at a huge price after the film managed to shatter box office records.

Due to the film’s success, the makers decided to stream it live on Amazon Prime on January 7. The announcement regarding the same was made on January 5, 2021.
As per a trade analyst, Pushpa rights were sole to Amazon Prime at a whopping price of Rs 27-30 crore. This is what the source stated, “The satellite value of a film is higher than the OTT deal. In the case of Pushpa, it is available on OTT not just in one language but in four languages – Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Those who haven’t watched it in theatres will now make it a point to catch it on the OTT space.”
Another update is coming regarding South films. As you might have observed South films performing so well att he box office and also entertaining people at large, there is an expectation that these films charge a heftier fee for streaming movies on OTT platforms.
This was evident after an inside stated that South films have now started charging more to stream on OTT platforms.

Pushpa is basically a Telugu language action drama both written and directed by Sukumar. It’s produced in association of Y. Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni. The film was made with a budget between Rs 200-250 crores.
The plot revolves around a sandalwood smuggler named Pushpa Raj. Now, the 2nd part titled Pushpa: The Rule is expected to release in 2022. The film stars Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna and Allu Arjun in their respective pivotal roles.
