She’s none other than Alia Bhatt who likes to support animals and pets in a great way. Her love towards pets looks evident as she encourages people to adopt cruelty-free methods.
Due to her contribution towards pets, the actress has been named Person Of The Year 2021 by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). Alia is herself a pet mom. It’s because she owns a cat and always comes forward to helping needy dogs and cats.

He further added, “Alia doesn’t hesitate to speak up, whether she’s rallying her fans to adopt a dog or cat or calling for action on crimes against animals.”
It’s not the first time when Alia Bhatt is named as the PETA India’s 2021 person of the year. In the past too, she has been recognized for her immense contribution towards the needy.
A few people might be aware that Alia Bhatt is also a businesswoman like many other Bollywood actors. She owns a vegan-friendly kids-wear line titled Ed-a-Mamma which has grabbed the PETA India fashion 2021 award for helping animals and nature.
The actress has also supported Phool. It’s the company behind Fleather which is a kind of vegan leather made from uncycled flowers. Sometime back, Alia Bhatt also starred in pro-adoption PETA India campaign to protect needy cats and dogs.
The list of PETA awardees is too long having the names of celebrities like Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Jacqueline Fernandez, R. Madhavan, Sunny Leone, Anushka Sharma, John Abraham, Kapil Sharma, cricketer Virat Kohli, Lok Sabha MP and actor Shashi Tharoor and more. All of them have worked for the animal welfare in one way or the other.
Alia Bhatt On the Work Front
Alia Bhatt will soon be featured in her upcoming film opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmastra. Apart from that, the actress will play the role of Sita in Prabhas starrer RRR.
RRR is basically a film about two Indian revolutionaries Komaram Bheem (N. T. Rama Rao Jr) and Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan). Both of them are known to have fought against Nizam of Hyderabad and British rule respectively.
Ajay Devgn is also expected to join the star cast in a cameo appearance along with others like Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, Samuthirakani and Shriya Saran in their respective pivotal roles.
The original release date of RRR was July 30, 2020. But the film had to be delayed due to COVID-19 crisis in the country. But now, the film is slated to release in theaters on January 7, 2022.
