Alia Bhatt graced the Red Sea Film Festival 2023 in Saudi Arabia, where she delved into her illustrious career, discussing her blockbusters and experiences sharing the screen with renowned stars.
In a special dialogue, she reminisced about collaborating with Shah Rukh Khan in Gauri Shinde’s “Dear Zindagi” back in 2016. Alia candidly recounted her initial experience working with SRK on the shoot’s first day.
Additionally, she shared that Suhana Khan, who made her debut in The Archies, was present on set, taking notes, while the young AbRam Khan joined them as well.

Addressing an audience filled with fans at the cinema hall, Alia Bhatt shared, “Shah Rukh really enjoys rehearsing. The day before, we sat and discussed the scene multiple times, and I recall Suhana being there, diligently taking notes.
Meanwhile, little AbRam was present, running around and being really small. We discussed the scene, and despite my attempts to appear calm and collected, I was still experiencing a mix of emotions.
This is what Alia Bhatt shared while recalling her first day on sets, “As we went on sets, and we were doing the first shot together, I think I froze. My mind went completely blank because I couldn’t believe it. And then Gauri (Shinde) had to come and whispered in my ears and said, ‘You have to forget The Shah Rukh Khan, and I was like okay.’ Actually, my character had to give him attitude and I was like how to do this.”
“Dear Zindagi” follows the journey of Kaira, an aspiring cinematographer on a quest for an ideal life.
A serendipitous meeting with Jug, an unconventional philosopher, becomes transformative, offering her a fresh outlook. Through this encounter, she learns that true happiness lies in embracing life’s imperfections and finding solace within them.
In the meantime, Alia Bhatt’s upcoming project with Vasan Bala is titled “Jigra,” wherein the actress serves as a co-producer alongside Karan Johar.
