Maalik box office collection day 4: Released last Friday, Maalik, starring Prosenjit Chatterjee, Manushi Chhillar, and Rajkummar Rao in their pivotal roles received a warm reception at the box office.
Despite stiff competition from the Hollywood release Superman, the film held its ground over the weekend. According to Sacnilk, it has now crossed the ₹15 crore mark in a span of 4 days.
Maalik Box Office Update
The latest box office estimates suggest Maalik managed to grab up to ₹1.34 crore on day four, making it the film’s lowest collection day yet. Given that it fell on a Monday, when attendance generally drops, the dip was anticipated.
The crime drama Maalik began its theatrical run with an opening of a whopping ₹3.75 crore and showed promising growth over the weekend, adding another ₹5.25 crore on Saturday and ₹5.25 crore on Sunday. The film’s total collection has now reached ₹15.59 crore.
The film Maalik drew 8.22% overall occupancy in Hindi screenings on Monday.
Rajkummar Rao’s Maalik led the domestic box office among Hindi releases this week, outperforming Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan, starring Vikrant Massey and newcomer Shanaya Kapoor.
Yet, the film remains overshadowed by David Corenswet’s Superman, which posted a massive ₹25 crore-plus opening weekend in India which is well ahead of the combined earnings of both Bollywood titles.
