Dulquer Salmaan’s Lucky Bhaskar Postponed to Diwali 2024; Makers Released Official Statement

Dulquer Salmaan’s widespread popularity, both in Kerala and nationwide, has made Lucky Bhaskar one of the most anticipated films.

The above period thriller, directed by Telugu filmmaker Venky Atluri, was initially scheduled for release next month but has now been rescheduled for October.

Sithara Entertainment, the film’s producers, released an official statement on social media, detailing the reasons for the delay.

As many are aware, Lucky Bhaskar will be released across India in multiple languages, including Hindi. The filmmakers explained that they need more time to perfect every aspect of the film, especially the dubbing.

On social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Sithara Entertainment shared, “While delaying the release may impact our social media standing, it’s vital for the film’s quality. Lucky Bhaskar will now light up your Diwali with a grand release on October 31st, 2024, in theaters worldwide.”

In a heartfelt note shared with the announcement, the filmmakers acknowledged the eager anticipation for Lucky Bhaskar.

They praised Dulquer Salmaan’s outstanding portrayal of Bhaskar and mentioned that the technical team has meticulously recreated the 1980s and 90s Mumbai with detailed sets.

The note emphasized the importance of achieving high-quality dubbing in multiple languages to ensure the film resonates authentically in every version.

Given the film’s scope as a multilingual, pan-India release, they requested additional time to reach the desired quality. Consequently, they have decided to delay the release to Diwali, October 31, 2024.
