Amidst ongoing rumors about the strained relationship between Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani, heightened by Esha’s deletion of their photos on social media, the couple publicly declared their separation on February 6th.
Recent reports indicate that while Hema Malini is supportive of Esha’s decision, their loving father Dharmendra is encouraging her to reconsider, taking their children into consideration.
Dharmendra Urges Esha Deol to Reconsider Divorce from Bharat Takhtani
According to reports, Dharmendra fully supports his daughter Esha Deol and respects her choices. However, he is understandably worried about the impact her separation from Bharat Takhtani will have on their daughters. “It is painful for any parent to see their child’s family breaking apart. Dharmendra Ji is a father too, so it’s natural for him to feel concerned. He is not against Esha’s decision to separate, but he does want her to give it a second thought,” a source told Bollywood Life.
As per these reports, the veteran actor believes that divorce can greatly affect children and is uncertain about how his granddaughters would respond, considering their close bonds with both the Deol and Takhtani families. “He is indeed saddened, and that’s why he wants them to rethink their decision to separate. Esha and Bharat have two daughters, Radhya and Miraya, who have strong relationships with both sets of grandparents. Divorce can have a detrimental impact on children, and therefore Dharmendra feels that if the marriage can be saved, they should try,” added the source.
In an official statement concerning their separation, the couple expressed, “We have come to a mutual and amicable decision to go our separate ways. The primary focus remains on the well-being and care of our two children during this phase of transition in our lives. We humbly request that our privacy be upheld during this period.”
For those unaware, Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani were married in a traditional ceremony in 2012. Their first daughter, Radhya, was born in 2017, followed by their second daughter, Miraya, in 2019.
