Yatra 2 Box Office Collection (India): The Collection Declines After Solid Start; Disappoints During Extended Weekend

Yatra 2 Box Office Collection (India): Yatra 2 experienced a slow start in its initial four days at the box office, accumulating an estimated 4.10 crore net in India.

Featuring Mammootty and Jiiva in prominent roles, the Telugu film witnessed a promising opening but struggled to maintain its momentum thereafter. Read on to discover Yatra 2’s box office collections over the extended weekend.

Under the direction of Mahi V Raghav, Yatra 2 debuted on February 8, a Thursday, strategically dodging a clash with Ravi Teja’s Eagle, which premiered on February 9.

Serving as a follow-up to the 2019 release Yatra, the movie stars Rajiv Kumar Aneja, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Suzanne Bernert alongside Mammootty and Jiiva in pivotal roles. Yatra 2 delves into the biographical portrayal of the current Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, while its precursor centered on the life of his father, former CM YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

Yatra 2 Day-Wise Collections (India)

The timing of the movie’s release seemed opportune, coinciding with an election year. This strategic alignment didn’t translate into significant box office figures.

The film garnered 2.05 crore on its opening day (Thursday), which was commendable. Nevertheless, the collections witnessed a sharp decline on Day 2 (Friday), plummeting to 0.7 crore, followed by a further dip to 0.65 crore on Day 3 (Saturday).

On its fourth day (Sunday), Yatra 2 managed to accumulate 0.7 crore, bringing its total net India earnings to 4.1 crore.

Yatra 2 vs Eagle Weekend Collections

During its opening weekend at the box office, Ravi Teja’s movie “Eagle” saw much stronger performance compared to “Yatra 2”.

“Eagle” managed to accumulate a net collection of 15.90 crore in just three days, leaving “Yatra 2” far behind with its opening weekend earnings of 4.1 crore.

Despite having the advantage of an extended weekend, “Yatra 2” couldn’t match the overwhelming response received by “Eagle” from the audience.

Yatra 2 Worldwide Collection

The initial reception of the film showed promise, with expectations of gaining momentum over the weekend. However, it fell short of these expectations, leading to a relatively low overall worldwide gross for Yatra 2.

The film accumulated a total gross of 4.85 crore in India and an additional 0.75 crore from overseas, resulting in a worldwide collection of 5.60 crore after 4 days in theaters.
