As far as the entertainment industry goes, the year proved disastrous to most film makers as they couldn’t release their films on time due to COVID-19 pandemic. Master to Annaatthe- 5 Tamil Movies that Failed to Release in 2020

Even now when the year is able to come to an end, not many film producers are willing to release their films as they fear about the infection due to this virus. The government has permitted theatre owners to release their films but with a 50% occupancy rates.

This is the reason why they have no option but to release their films on the OTP platforms. But there are few Tamil movies that always had huge expectations from their makers. This is why they always felt reluctant to release them directly on the OTT platforms.

Take the case of Master, a big budget Tamil movie that had to be postponed many times due to Covis-19 pandemic.

In the same ways, there are so many other new Tamil movies that failed to release as per their set schedule.

 

Master                                                          

Vijay’s Master is one of the Tamil movies that affected the most. It had to be postponed for a few days to hit the big screens.

But the makers would have never expected that their wait will be so long. Master stars Vijay in the lead role of a professor. The director Lokesh Kanagaraj among other crew members already has a huge expectation from this film.

For now, they have postponed the idea of releasing Mater in 2020. They are planning to release the film in 2021 on the occasion of Pongal.

 

Cobra

Cobra falls under new Tamil movies list that also failed to release as per schedule. To be precise, the Tamil movie was officially scheduled to release in 2020 but had to be postponed due to coronavirus pandemic. As per the reports, Vikram and his entire team who were shooting for the film in Russia were sent back to the country.

At this time, the crew members of the film tried to wrap it up on an urgent basis. But they failed to gauge the situation because the coronavirus spread at a much faster rate than expected.

The latest news about Cobra is that makers have resumed the shooting once again in Chennai and have even improved the film version as well.

Cobra stars Vikam in the lead role and the music in the film has been given by A.R.Rahman.

 

Valimai

The makers of Valimai had first planned to release the film on the occasion of Diwali 2020.

But in the end, they failed to complete the shooting due to the lockdown. Due to this, they had to push the release date of the film to a later date.

At present Valimai shooting is already going on and the makers are planning to present this film to the audience with all they want.

 

Jagame Thanthiram

Jagame Thanthiram starring Dhanush also became the victim of the lockdown due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Earlier the makers had planned to release the film in theatres as it was well planned for all the fans to celebrate the film in theaters only.

The Tamil movie starring Dhanush will be having two different looks and fans can’t wait any longer to see their favorite hero performing on screen.

 

Annaatthe

Annaatthe starring Rajnikanth also suffered due to the pandemic. Rajni recently announced that he will be joining the politics. But he surprised everyone after deciding to collaborate with the director Siruthai Siva.

Later, he decided to wrap up the film shooting before he joins politics. The present situation is that the making of the film is in top gears and is expected to get completed before the next month.

Annaatthe is basically a village drama which is loaded with many popular stars. The music in the film is being given by D Imman.
