In Short:

  • WWE 2K25 has kicked off its release of new wrestlers, features, and modes, though some content includes recycled assets
  • Jey Uso initially lacked his crowd entrance, but fan backlash led to its update
  • Tiffany Stratton’s animations are outdated, and American Made is utilizing animations used earlier for The Hurt Business

After WWE 2K25 was introduced in late January, along with roster updates, game modes, and new features, one detail stood out—Jey Uso, the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble winner, was still using an animation that was more than a year old.

In reality, Jey Uso’s entrance includes making his way through the crowd, greeting young fans, and executing his signature “Yeet” arm gesture.

Jey Uso has been using this entrance for nearly a year, yet it was initially missing from WWE 2K25. However, following fan backlash, 2K has now revealed a more accurate updated entrance for him, as showcased by IGN.

The reason behind Uso’s original entrance omission remains unclear, but fortunately it has now been updated. However, the crowd animation still seems off, as they appear to be bowing instead of waving their arms. Even more concerning is that Uso isn’t the only superstar with an outdated entrance.

WWE 2K25 Showing Its Age

Aside from Jey Uso, American Made’s entrance in WWE 2K25 happens to be a reused animation from The Hurt Business. A side-by-side comparison reveals that it’s essentially the same four-man entrance, only with different wrestlers and music.

On the other hand Tiffany Stratton, the reigning WWE Women’s Champion and a key figure at this year’s WrestleMania, is still using her old entrance animation from before her main roster call-up, though the music has been updated.

Her current entrance, as shown here, is noticeably missing any camera clicks or similar effects.

Simply put, it’s not a great look for a game launching soon (March 7) with a base price of $69.99. Whether these entrances will receive updates like Jey Uso’s remains to be seen, but in any case, improvements shouldn’t have to rely on fan backlash.
