Weapons is a Hollywood mystery film released today. Although, the film has been making waves in terms of getting a good review from the audience, there is a huge excitement regarding this suspense mystery.

As per the reports, there is a section of the audience who are willing to watch the film on IMAX, it seems that it won’t be possible for now.

 

War 2 Pushes Weapons Out of IMAX In India; F1: The Movie Continues Strong

Well, reports further suggest that moviegoers won’t see Weapons in IMAX in India. It’s mainly because it releases on August 8, barely a week before War 2 lands on August 14. Meanwhile YRF, the producer of War 2 have locked in all 33 IMAX screens across India exclusively for their big release.

Since Weapons would have been in IMAX for a mere six days in India, Warner Bros determined that releasing it here in the format wasn’t worthwhile and scrapped the idea.

Now, as per the latest update, F1: The Movie has received an extended IMAX window in India. The film basically features Brad Pitt in the lead role will get released on June 27 has sustained solid footfalls, even though it’s far from a formulaic blockbuster.

Its IMAX numbers have been exceptional. Removed temporarily for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, it re-entered IMAX theatres on August 1 and is still going strong.

Now, as of August 8, F1: The film will have a stronger IMAX presence. It will have as many as four shows in Pune, Cinepolis Seawoods (Navi Mumbai) along with Cinepolis Thane.

The report says that 7th week release is still pulling crowds, with weekend shows nearly full. Box office collections have topped ₹90 crore, and the race to ₹100 crore is on.

F1: The Movie fans meed to be aware that this is going to be the last week for the film to run in IMAX mainly because of War 2. Now, as the film still going strong, it wouldn’t be surprising to see if it return to IMAX in a future open week.

Weapons has been directed by none other than Zach Cregger has managed to surpass Freakier Friday in terms of the pre release sales. This happened mainly because of a thunderous advance booking. Now, the real test of the film will take place once the box office verdict comes out.
