Being a spectator, it’s a common occurance to see films going for an upward trend from Friday to Sunday. However, War 2 (Hindi) has broken that pattern, with its weekend numbers turning out to be quite disappointing.
For War 2, Friday offered a glimmer of hope as box office numbers jumped up to ₹46 crore, an amount up from ₹29 crore on day one. Yet, following that day, the film’s performance has seen a steady decline.
War 2 Box Office Update: Film Records An Average Sunday
After dropping to ₹27 crore on Saturday, War 2 barely inched up to ₹28 crore on Sunday. The lack of growth was disappointing and certainly not what trade analysts had predicted.
The movie has earned up to ₹130 crore so far, but from today it expected to register single-digit numbers.
With weekday collections projected at only ₹30 crore, the Hrithik Roshan and NTR-starrer may just scrape past the ₹150 crore mark by the conclusion of its extended opening week.
