Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR‘s War 2 made the most of the Independence Day release window, pulling in more than ₹50 crore on its opening day.
While the Telugu version witnessed a decline in business on day 2, the Hindi version exceeded expectations with a surprising jump. The filmcontinued to maintain its strong momentum, enabling it to surpass ₹100 crore in India within just two days.
Even with mixed reviews, the action-packed film witnessed a solid first day at the box office. Across all languages, it earned Tamil brought in ₹25 lakh, Telugu version stood at ₹22.25 crore, and Hindi version delivered ₹30 crore.
Box Office Update: War 2 Hindi Version Gains Pace on Independence Day
Boosted by Independence Day, War 2 collected up to ₹57.5 crore on day 2 across multi languages, up 9.52% from day 1’s ₹52.5 crore.
The Hindi version led the charge with ₹45 crore, registering a 50% jump from ₹30 crore. The Telugu version dropped to ₹12 crore, while Tamil brought in ₹50 lakh.
War 2 Hits ₹100 Crore in Just 2 Days at the Indian Box Office
If we calculate the total earnings of War 2 after the end of Day 2, the film has managed to grab 100 crore. Well, by loking at the box office performance right after the opening day, one could have make out the film to enter into the 100 crore club.
The film’s gross total, with GST, reaches up to ₹129.8 crore. Although anticipation was higher, the movie is enjoying its theatrical run right at the moment.
