The film narrates the untold story of Punjab’s original music sensation who’s also the best-selling artist of his generation. Despite starting from humble beginnings, he managed to earn fame in the 1980s through his musical talent, sparking both admiration and animosity along the way. Tragically, his life was cut short at the age of 27 by assassination.
As the title suggests, “Amar Singh Chamkila” pays tribute to the life of this Punjabi musician starring Parineeti Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh.
