Saturday proved to be excellent for The Diplomat, with collections nearly doubling Friday’s numbers. Considering the consistent hold the film has shown so far, a 50%-75% jump on Saturday was expected.

This doubling of collections has given the film added momentum, suggesting that the John Abraham starrer is now on track to achieve at least a fair level of success at the domestic box office.

The Diplomat Box Office: Saturday Earnings Surge, Nearly Doubling Friday’s Figures

It was on Tuesday when the film collected Rs. 2.52 crores, showing a remarkable increase compared to its Friday earnings of Rs. 1.27 crores.

Crossing the Rs. 2 crore mark is a positive sign, and with the Rs. 2.50 crore milestone achieved, the focus shifts to whether it can touch Rs. 2.75-3 crores today. If it does, the movie could potentially sustain collections above Rs. 1 crore from Monday to Thursday.

Directed by Shivam Nair, the film has achieved a total of Rs. 23.24 crores and is expected to cross the Rs. 30 crore milestone within two weeks.

While the arrival of Sikandar may lead to a reduction in shows, the movie will still enjoy an open Friday and Saturday, along with the boost from the Eid season. This ensures it will comfortably surpass Rs. 35 crores, with a chance of reaching Rs. 40 crores in its lifetime run.
