Sinners North America Box Office Day 31

The global box office totals of The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2 are about to be overtaken by Sinners

In a close domestic box office battle with Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts, Sinners narrowly lost second place but outgrossed The Exorcist, moving closer to joining the top three highest-grossing horror movies in North America.

Surpassing the global box office of Disney’s Snow White, the film has entered the 2025 list of top grossers. Scroll down for further updates.

What’s driving the film’s trend is its fresh and original portrayal of vampires, distinct from conventional Hollywood stories. The talented cast’s outstanding acting elevated the overall impact.

With box office returns exceeding those of all three Creed films, the movie crossed $300 million and earned more than three times its modest production budget. This is a positive development for the horror genre and has stirred strong Oscar conversations.

Luiz Fernando states that Michael B. Jordan’s horror movie re-entered IMAX venues, pulling in $15.4 million in its fifth weekend and facing just a 30.3% decline from the previous weekend’s numbers.

Not stopping there, the film earned the second biggest fifth weekend for an R-rated movie, outdoing Oppenheimer’s $10.7 million and The Passion of the Christ’s $12.9 million, with only Deadpool and Wolverine’s $18.3 million taking the top spot.

Sinners ranks fifth for the biggest weekend earnings among April releases, coming just short of The Jungle Book’s $17.1 million.

The film crossed $240.8 million in domestic earnings after its fifth weekend, beating The Exorcist’s $233 million mark. Michael B. Jordan’s horror movie is officially the fourth top-grosser in U.S. horror film history.

The horror movie is set to accomplish a notable global feat shortly, having earned $3.6 million internationally in its fifth weekend, reaching a total of $73.8 million overseas.

This Michael B. Jordan-starring horror film has achieved a $314.59 million global haul and is nearing the milestone to outgross The Conjuring and its sequel, ranking 15th among horror’s biggest earners.
