Sillu Karupatti to Be Screened at Osaka Tamil International Film Festival In Japan

It’s a matter of pride for everybody, especially to those who are credited to have done all the work done for the film. Yes! We are talking about the makers of Tamil anthology film Sillu Karupatti.

The latest is that this 2019 released Tamil language film has been selected for screening at Osaka Tamil International Film Festival In Japan.

Sillu Karupatti is both written and directed by Halitha Shameem which will be screened on November 1, 2020 in Osaka, Japan. The film has also been nominated for the Best Tamil Feature Film of the Year 2019.

Reacting to the above, the director Shameem took to his twitter account and posted a scene from the movie and wrote, “How cute is this!! Thank you, Osaka Tamil International film festival.”

 

As the film is soon moving towards the screening date, you can feel the kind of glory on the faces of the entire crew who worked hard to produce such a great Tamil anthology film.

Reacting to the above, Sunainaa who featured in the film took to her Twitter account and posted,  “Hello Japan #SilluKaruppatti has been officially selected for screening & also been nominated for the category Best Tamil Feature Film of the year 2019 at the @osaka_tamil Festival Nov 1, 2020, Osaka City, JAPAN.” Actor Nivedithaa Sathish from the movie wrote, “JAPAN IT IS!”

After Sillu Karupatti was released in 2019, it was liked by the masses.

Even now, the audience can’t forget the kind of performances given by all those artists including Daniel Balaji and Bose Venkat.

Well, there is something more to the film in terms of the felicitations. 

The film was critically acclaimed and managed to earn two awards at the 2020 Toronto Tamil International Film Festival.

In the end, it also won the jury award for Best Experimental Feature Film and Best Feature Film Women Director.

Sillu Karupatti is basically a romance anthology starring Manikandan, Sara Arjun, Samuthirakani, Nivedhithaa Sathish, Leela Samson and Sunainaa in their pivotal roles.

Shameem who is the writer and director is also credited to have edited the film as well.

It was bankrolled by Venkatesh Velineni and was finally presented under Surya’s banner.

The music in the film was composed by Pradeep Kumar and the camera was handled by Yamini Yagnamurthy.
