Salman Khan is gearing up to wow audiences with his highly anticipated action-thriller, Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. The film is set to release this Eid, on March 30.
It also marks the first time Salman shares the screen with Rashmika Mandanna. A recent news update has shared key insights about the movie, including its U/A certification and projected opening day box office figures.
Salman Khan’s Sikandar
As per an update from a renowned media house, Sikandar has already received a U/A 13+ certificate from the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification), indicating it is appropriate for viewers aged 13 and above, with parental discretion. The film has a runtime of 150.8 minutes.
Salman Khan revealed on March 21 that the Sikandar trailer will drop on March 23, with a runtime of 3 minutes and 35 seconds.
The news outlet also shared predictions for the film’s opening-day box office, estimating it could make around Rs 35-40 crore on its first day, with the possibility of surpassing that figure.
AR Murugadoss Collaboration With Salman
During a recent interview with PTI, AR Murugadoss revealed that his aspiration to work with Salman Khan dates back to 2014, when he teamed up with Akshay Kumar for Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty.
In the interview, he said, “While working on Holiday, I had the chance to meet Salman sir at Madh Island during a casual visit. I greeted him and expressed, ‘I want to direct a film with you.’ He responded, ‘I’d love to work with you too.’ A few years later, he reached out to discuss a Korean movie remake, but I told him, ‘If I make a film with you, it has to be based on my own script. I’m not interested in remakes.'”
