In a major development in the  Raj Kundra case, actress Shilpa Shetty has moved to the Bombay High Court against some media houses for posting defamatory content against her.

It has damaged her reputation in a great way. It all happened when her husband Raj Kundra was arrested in connection with a pornography racket where he is alleged to create porn videos and steam them on his apps and other porn websites.

Since then reports have been doing rounds according to which the role of Shilpa Shetty is also being scrutinized. However, some reports simply suggest her involvement in the case.

Reacting to such reports, Shilpa Shetty has moved to the Bombay HC demanding an unconditional apology from such media houses that are circulating wrong and defamatory information against her. She is also seeking them to delete all such information along with a compensation of Rs 25 crore.

Shilpa says that some media houses are not verifying the facts and information of her alleged involvement in the case before publishing their content. And this is causing a huge damage to her reputation.

She has also stated that her character is being assassinated by calling her a criminal. The one who has abandoned her husband, especially after the start of the ongoing criminal investigation against her husband.

Shilpa has stated in her document submitted in the court that some media houses have published information which is full of false, derogatory and defamatory statements. This has not only defamed Shetty but also maligned her hard earned reputation in the society.

Shilpa in her application further stated that the content (in the form of videos and other defamatory articles) which is being circulated in the media have in fact lowered down her reputation in the society and forcing people to believe them.

She stated that such content which is being circulated in her name has also maligned the reputation of her family members including her parents and children.

Lastly, Shilpa says that her hard earned reputation is the inextricable part of life under Article 21 of the Indian constitution.

She also said that there are certain sections of the media that needs to restrain publishing false and irrelevant content about her. And the damages that are caused due to this won’t be compensated by money.
