While testifying Wednesday, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ former girlfriend broke down crying as his defense attorney had her read aloud a string of loving messages she had sent him over the years.
The courtroom grew somber as Geragos and Jane read aloud messages from their years-long relationship, which spanned from 2021 to Combs’ arrest in September.
Jane struggled to finish reading a message that said, “I’ve never had a man take care of me like you do,” and professed her enduring love for Combs. Her voice cracked, and she had to stop to wipe away tears.
Prosecutors objected and called for a sidebar with the judge, momentarily halting proceedings. Jane stayed slouched in the witness stand, her hair draped over one side of her face. Across the room, Combs appeared calm, his eyes fixed on the courtroom monitor.

Jane testified for a fifth day, stating she continues to love Combs. She discussed the emotional clarity she gained after three months in therapy. She also testified that, though she didn’t want to sleep with other men, she did it to fulfill Combs’ wishes.
Later, Geragos drew out that Jane frequently became angry at Combs, especially when she believed he treated other girlfriends better, and that these frustrations led her to consider ending the relationship.
In a shortened court session on Wednesday afternoon, Geragos said she plans to finish her cross-examination by Thursday morning.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey, who leads the prosecution, told the court the government expects to rest its case by next Wednesday.
Defense attorney Marc Agnifilo remained tight-lipped about his witness strategy, explaining it will depend on the prosecution’s final moves. Still, he predicted the trial will be over by July 4th.
